Thrushie Haven

Thrushie Haven

Scientifically known as Agave missionum, this golden giant can take as long as 25 years to burst into flower in it's magnificent, Caribbean splendor.
Known as Century Plant (because it seems like a century before it blooms) the Agave's sweet nectar is food for birds, bats, bees and a host of flying and crawling insects. A local Thrushie bird sits perched on the stalk, perhaps waiting for its next meal.
